Serge Ferrari group is happy to introduce its new fish farming membrane: Biobrane Aqua 1650.

Specifically engineered and extensively tested for fish farming applications at sea.

Biobrane Aqua 1650 advantages are:

·       Exceptional dimensional stability of Precontraint (Pre-Stretched) membranes and balanced mechanical strength in both warp and weft weaving directions.
This allows predictability of the behavior of the cage at sea when submitted to current, waves, overpressure etc. .
This is not possible with conventional membranes that will in average elongate under loads up to 7% making it difficult to maintain the desired shape and structural behavior.
·       High tear and mechanical resistance to warranty the integrity of the flexible enclosure.
·       A better weight / mechanical performance ratio: 18% lighter but stronger, reducing the usage of raw material and the environemental & carbon footprint.
·       European non-toxicity certification for food fish production: our membrane has been tested by an independent laboratory to ensure it does not affect fish health and marine sea life.
·       Optimized surface: flatter for a better resistance to abrasion, easy cleaning of biofouling and maintenance of the enclosure/bag.
·       Better UV and abrasion resistance, ensuring a high longevity and prevent formation of pollution.
·       High and stabile welding adhesion under prolongated hydrolysis*: other membrane might show a dramatic welding adhesion reduction over time *in contact with water.
·       As the 1550 – 2050 and now 1650 our membranes are recyclable: reducing further environmental footprint.
